Houston .... we have a counter!
Check the sidebar ---->

I had just updated my percentage bar
Check the sidebar ---->
to 35% complete.

THEN I find out that a counter has been created
over at Anny's!!! And when I set it up? We are ....
guess how close ... to finishing the Olympics? 32%!!!

Then I thought .... no, there was NOT an Earthquake on
the East Coast Palie! :o) That was ME thinking .....
maybe I should count how many more skeins of
yarn
I have!

Guess?

yep.

THREE! And the little bit I'm knittin' with.

Wanna see?

K.

Um.
I have a confession to make.
I KNEW I was off. I KNEW my bobbles were
not matching exactly. I KNEW I probably should
hunt it down - like the dog it was - but, I didn't.
There's a boo boo in my bobbles.

And I'm ok with it.

Hi Betty!
Brian here - Denise's husband from over at www.KnitChat.com. I was making sure that your link worked from on our Fleet page and then noticed you had the Olympic counter here too!

I just wanted to give you a hint about making the text more easily read. Depending upon how your style sheet is setup, one of two things will do it.
Try this first...
In the section that looks like this:
    #knitolympics {
        text-align: center;
        border: solid 1px;
    }
Change it to this:
    #knitolympics {
        text-align: center;
        border: solid 1px;
        color: #660000;
    }

That SHOULD make the text color match the background for your page.

If it has no effect, you could always brute force it changing this:
    <script type="text/javascript">updateOlympicTimer();</script>

and wrapping it in a font setting like this:
    <font color = "#660000"><script type="text/javascript">updateOlympicTimer();</script></font>

I hope one of those works for you.

BTW, I spent about a half an hour yesterday browsing your blog. Don't know how I'd come across it then, but I had. You seem to be a really terrific person. Too bad we're so far away or we'd have to invite ourselves over for Sunday dinner! I bet we'd have a blast!

Cheers!

Hi Bea - I found your blog from the knitting olympics participant list because I'm making (i.e. attempting) the bobbilicious too. Its my first non-scarf project, and after several failed attempts, I thought I was off to a good start. Last night I finished my third row of bobbles, but then realized that somehow I went from having 12 bobbles across on the first and second rows to having 15 across on the third. How did that happen?? How did I increase that much without realizing it?? Anyway, just wanted you to know that you're not alone in the bobble frustrations.

Have fun!

Jennie
